Kanye west recently announced a tour of outer space, including stops on the ISS, the Moon, and eventually Mars.
In an exclusive interview, West told us, "How dope is that? If I perform out in space, the sounds will reverberate out to other galaxies, stars, and eventually planets and aliens. People on this earth already think I'm a god, but when other creatures on other planets hear my songs from outer space, they will know I am a god."
West says with the success by SpaceX in reusing rockets, prices will come down, putting rocket travel in his affordable range.
"Before man, space travel was so expensive. But I talked to my boy Elon, bringing space travel to the richest people on earth. He's sending regular people like me up soon."
West has a long history of boisterous and ridiculous claims which he generally backs up in even more outrageous ways. While you have to doubt the sincerity of any interplanetary tour, West may actually be able to pull it off. West claims sales from the tour will be huge, forecasting numbers from live streaming, and virtual reality simulation.
"We are going to make billions. Music made in outer space? That's like da Vinci shit. Never been done before. When we get up there, it's just me, the sound and the camera crew. And there are going to be cameras everywhere. Live stream from space for ten dollars a stream, everybody on earth would watch that! That's seven billion people times ten dollars, seventy trillion dollars. That’s like four Bezos. Premium version, throw on some VR goggles, change perspectives to any camera you want for fifty bucks. A billion people gonna do that, that's another fifty trillion. Im gonna make money in space.”
When asked how he'd prepare for space, he had a peculiar answer.
"Mostly drinking a lot, getting lit in the club. I hear space makes you feel sick from your stomach, and tired. So I became an alcoholic to train. If I can get through that, I can get through being an astronaut. Like, women are astronauts, they can have kids. They strong as fuck, look at Kim.”
We had more questions about the Moon and Mars tours, but West suddenly stood up and said, "I am so sorry guys, I just came up with a great song for outer space. It’s gonna be galactic!"
Kanye, we thank you for joining us.
